Carl Mittendorff is an experienced senior living owner / operator / developer, having deployed over $1 Billion of equity into solely senior living assets, totaling over 12,800 beds across 72 transactions, 22 states, and over $2.8 billion in value. His management experience covers all property types including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and also continuing care retirement communities. Likewise, his investment experience covers the spectrum including complex repositioning, turnaround, distressed debt, ground-up development, and stabilized “core” assets.
Over the course of his 9-year leadership at Watermark Retirement Communities, Mr. Mittendorff’s initiatives grew the company from serving roughly 240 seniors (4 communities) in 2006 to well over 7,000 seniors (40 communities) in 2015 and from employing roughly 350 associates in 2006 to well over 5,500 in 2015. Mr. Mittendorff was responsible for growing the company, leading the company’s strategic management and business planning, as well as structuring the company’s equity and debt.
Matt leads Voralto’s strategic initiatives including operations, clinical programming, business development and sales and marketing throughout the company. Matt’s career has encompassed 18 states and more than 28,000 residents and patients. He has also assisted with the planning, construction, acquisition and operation of more than 200 senior living and skilled nursing facilities throughout the country.
Matt previously served as Voralto’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Voralto, Matt served as the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Senior Care Centers and National Health Care and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Avalon Health Care Group.
Toby has over 20 years of real estate accounting experience in large companies, start ups, private equity companies, publicly traded companies, property accounting, fund accounting and third-party management.
Toby’s most recent experience is as a hands-on Controller for a start-up Senior Housing and Assisted Living company where he oversaw the reporting for six operating communities, implemented the new accounting software standard and oversaw the banking relationships.
Tanya currently holds the role of Director of Clinical Operations and Risk Management for Colonial Oaks Senior Living and Voralto. Tanya’s professional journey has included finance management, banking and nursing. Tanya has worked in various roles in both small and large senior housing companies. Having provided direct patient care, she believes one of her most important roles as a leader is to support and educate the front line team members, along with the communities themselves in turn, will provide the utmost love and care for the residents.
Tanya is originally from Western Wisconsin, attending high school and college in the La Crosse area. Along with her degree; she is TALA licensed, RUG and MDS trained and certified through Texas State University and the State of Texas HHS.
After careful consideration, Tanya and her family decided to relocate to the Katy, Texas area for a career opportunity. In her downtime, Tanya and her family spend a great deal of their free time volunteering and involved in the Katy community. With a passion for senior living and overall resident care; she truly feels that her mission is to love and serve others.
Cathy Stafford serves as Voralto’s Regional Director of Sales and Marketing and brings more than 15 years of senior living experience. Cathy has extensive experience in new construction pre-sales, lease-up and sales training with demonstrated success in a variety of sales roles. She works directly with Voralto’s communities to develop and implement strategic marketing action plans.
Her passion for serving others and results-driven approach drive the day-to-day performance of Voralto’s communities. Prior to joining Voralto, Cathy held a number of leadership roles with Five Star Senior Living, LifeWell Senior Living and Fieldstone Retirement.
Drew Nilges serves as the Director of Asset Management and Investments at COSL. Drew began his career as an Analyst with Bentley Associates, a boutique investment banking firm in New York City. Drew then gained real estate experience as an Associate at a real estate private equity firm in Dallas focusing on value-add acquisitions in the Senior Housing industry.
Before joining COSL, Drew spent time in real estate development at Leon Capital Group in Dallas focusing on the retail sector. He underwrote investments in both land and existing retail buildings evaluating value-add scenarios with nationally recognized tenants including Chik-fil-A and Raising Cane’s.
Drew grew up outside of Saint Louis, MO and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Missouri in 2011.
