While indoor nonessential visitation remains restricted, our team has been busy preparing protocols and guidelines for structured, scheduled outdoor visits, as permitted in approved communities by the state of Texas and soon in Georgia. Several of our our communities are awaiting approval by the state in order to begin allowing visitors. To learn more or schedule your visit, or to inquire about when the visitations will begin at your community, please call the community directly and the Front Desk will assist you.
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
- To help ensure social distancing and make sure staff, residents and the community are prepared for visit, all visitation must be previously scheduled. We are currently limiting visitation to 2 visitors.
- If you plan to bring a child or pet please be sure you are able to manage them while maintaining all policies. Children count as a visitor.
- Prior to arrival for the scheduled visit be sure you review the instructions and information on the terms of the visit and are able to agree to abide by all requirements.
- Please self-screen yourself the day of your visit to be sure you’re free of a fever and all symptoms.
- If you experience any symptoms of infectious illness (cough, sore throat, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, new onset of loss of taste or smell), contact us immediately so that we can reschedule your visit.
- If you plan to bring anything to give to your loved one, please be sure it is either in a sealed package or a cleanable container. We will have a drop box where you will leave your items so that they can be disinfected before they’re brought into the community.
- For the time being, all visits will be in a covered space outdoors. Please dress accordingly. Also, keep in mind, visits are contingent on safe weather conditions. In the event conditions change unexpectedly and it is not safe for you to visit, we will contact you to reschedule your visit.
- As you arrive and exit your vehicle, please ensure you’re wearing a mask at all times. You must keep it covering your nose and mouth at all times throughout the visit.
- You’ll find a check-in table where you will review the visitation guidelines and disinfect your hands.
- During your check in, you will also undergo symptoms and contact screening and have your temperature checked by a member of our team.
- If you have a fever, symptoms of infectious illness (cough, sore throat, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, new onset of loss of taste or smell), or have had contact with a COVID-19 positive individual, your visit will be postponed.
- Once you’ve reviewed the do’s and don’ts of the visit and received proper screening, you will be escorted to the designated outdoor visitation area by a member of our team.
- Sit tight and we’ll bring your loved one out to visit.
DURING YOUR VISIT
- We know it’s tempting, but we must insist that you maintain social distance at all times during the visit. This means no physical contact of any kind.
- A member of our team will remain nearby throughout the visit to help ensure all visits remain safe and comfortable.
- We will be sanitizing visitation areas between each visit.
- The resident and visitor must wear a facial covering during the visit.
- For those with hearing challenges, we can offer usage of our Eversound® system to help with communication. Please let a member of our team know prior to your arrival and we will have it available.
- Outdoor visitation requires 6 feet of separation between you and your loved one.
- Visitors are prohibited from entering the interior of the community at any time during the visit. This includes using the restroom.
*Visits are currently being permitted and regulated by requirements from the states of Texas and Georgia. In the event that any employee or resident receives a COVID-positive test result, visitation must be discontinued until approval after a negative test result.
