We moved my mother in a month ago. The transition was hard for her at first, but everyone at Colonial Oaks were so nice! My mother loves how nice all the staff is to her. She loves living there now. This senior living facility is a perfect size. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved ones!

Reserved room with deposit back in October 2021 , Released it November keeping our loved one home. We may end up here later. Cortney was wonderful to work with. Very caring and gave us all details needed.

Leawood Gardens (now Colonial Oaks) has provided a really lovely environment for our mom who suffers from dementia. She moved in just as COVID was shutting the world down. During an extremely difficult transition in her life (and ours) made even more so by the Pandemic, we found the staff to be really wonderful and caring. We chose Leawood Garden because of the beautiful, clean, bright and overall pleasant atmosphere of the space. There are so many windows that allow for natural light to brighten the hallways. A beautiful fireplace is a centerpiece in the lobby with several chairs/sofas for residents to relax and gather. The outdoor garden area located completely surrounded by the facility is just lovely. The grounds are kept up beautifully and seasonally. Although our mom does not regularly participate due to her dementia, there are daily activities happening in the large gathering area: Bingo, art, dog visits, exercises, music.... The dining area is also lovely and offers a wide variety. When our mom first moved in, she was not eating much. The chef actually reached out and asked what was in the salad we often brought from a restaurant that she liked so much. He wanted to recreate it in his kitchen for her. We are truly grateful for the care our mom has received at Colonial Oaks.

If you are looking for a senior living facility for yourself or a loved one, this facility is a great choice! The staff is always friendly and they take the time to get to know their residents. The activities department does a wonderful job keeping everyone active and busy! They offer in house therapy (PT/OT/ST) so that the residents maintain strength in their home environment. It is easy to see that the residents are happy and enjoy where they live. Highly recommend!

Mom chose to move to Colonial Oaks Senior Living at Leawood, formerly known as Grace Gardens of Leawood and Leawood Gardens, in 2017. Her best friend had recently moved in, and we were told that this would be her home until she passed away which recently happened in November. We liked that it was a smaller one story community with a beautiful courtyard and the location was perfect. Her one bedroom apartment with a living room on the courtyard side with a patio was spacious enough and very comfortable. The staff that has been put into place since she moved to the community is exemplary. The Nursing staff is extremely caring, compassionate, and communicative. The Administrative staff is cooperative, knowledgeable, and also very caring. We had our struggles throughout the years. However, we all learned to work together and cooperate to provide a comfortable caring safe home for our Mom. She was completely comfortable and always felt loved, safe and cared for. She thoroughly enjoyed interacting with other residents in all the activities and in the dining room. She loved every member of the staff she came in contact with. We thank everyone for everything with all our hearts. We recommend if anyone is considering a senior living community for a loved one visit and get to know everyone at Colonial Oaks Senior Living at Leawood.

This community has the most caring staff. It is very home like and small enough that everyone knows each other. The Courtyard is inviting and the natural sunlight in the building is beautiful. It is also the best deal for the money in Leawood. I would highly recommend.
