Home to one of the world’s most intact public collections, Clyfford Still Museum, located in the Denver, CO area, offers nine beautiful galleries with works by this major artist. The museum also houses historic photos and objects from his archives, as well as interactive features that allow visitors insight into what it was like for him during different periods in time- including the creation stage. There are outdoor terraces where you can take relaxing walks or observe wildlife while tasting delicious food at the cafe on site too.
The Clyfford Still Museum is a two-story building that displays the work of one man, who at times can be difficult to understand. The 285000 square foot space was designed by Brad Cloepfil from Allied Works Architecture, and it stands in downtown Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District west side across from Hamilton Building home for many different arts organizations such as art museum or theater company among others – all of which have contributed greatly towards its success over time.
The Clyfford Still Museum is home to one of the most important painters in modern art history. Born into an era when abstract expressionism was taking off, artist and scholar Cilyffor Still painted many pieces that are still being analyzed today for their revolutionary use of coloration or strange shapes- among them several masterful paintings on display here at our museum. A contribution from this author can be seen throughout all three galleries, which showcase his work dating back to the early 1920s until the 1980s.
Still’s work is among the most important in modern art history, and his life story will be an inspiration for generations to come. The Clyfford Still Museum houses a collection that represents almost all of its painter’s lifetime output, including more than 3,000 pieces created between 1920 – 1980, as well as every archived document ever written by him or containing some mention about paint-brushes being “beautiful.”
The Clyfford Still Museum is home to nearly everything that this great artist created, with 3125 pieces representing more than 93% of his lifetime work. You can visit the museum and experience all these objects first-hand by simply walking through our doors.
As the steward of Clyfford Still’s art and legacy, the museum is committed to preserving his work for future generations. The museum’s mission is not simply about displaying paintings but also studying how they were created as well as engaging with other disciplines like literature or music in order to create new opportunities within these walls so everyone can enjoy what our museum has available.
